A marriage going through real people problems in the midst of a Malibu wine tasting weekend is featured on this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

We pick up with Heather and Terry Dubrow still having tension after last week’s argument in the restaurant with their kids watching it all. Heather feels that Terry is not supportive of her acting career and the fact that she just landed a guest starring role on the television show Hot in Cleveland. She is tired of his jokes where she is the punch line.

After some more uneasy banter Terry tells the camera, “She’s like a finely tuned instrument, like a violin. If you play it too hard, the strings are going to snap and break in your face.” Heather writes in her blog, ” I just wanted support the way I’ve always supported Terry. I want what I give.”

Next, we see the business venture that Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney started last season when they were still BFF’s (which awkwardly they are no longer) called Wines by Wives, which is a wine of the month club. So they invite all the ladies and their spouses on a wine tasting weekend in Malibu to help decide which wines they should use. Vicki sulks from the start of the weekend feeling like a fifth wheel since she is the only one who is without a date.  After much drinking, everyone sits down to lunch and Terry awkwardly opens up to the group about how much trouble he has been in lately with Heather and starts sharing about their marital struggles, telling the group that after their last fight he said the worst thing you could say to your wife, the “d” word (divorce) as the group, including Heather, collectively gasped.

Heather writes, “I’m not someone who usually talks about my relationship in front of a group of people.  I was surprised Terry brought it up at the table. You may think I’m still overreacting, but the fight that continued off camera after our dinner at Zov’s was very intense and hurtful.”

And as this is all going on, Tamra is getting more upset with Vicki because she feels that Vicki is acting detached and completely uninterested in their new business venture. When Vicki announces after lunch that she has to leave and head to Los Angeles to meet up with her friends, Tamra is super angry and follows her outside and they both accuse each other of “not performing” which prompts Tamra to flip out and call Vicki a bitch in front of everyone.  Vicki writes in her blog, “I was not ‘up’ to going to Malibu, as I had pretty much decided not to continue to do any appearances or events with Tamra due to our ongoing friendship issues. Chris, our business partner, felt that it was important for me to go so I did. Hindsight, I probably should have stayed back.”  She goes on to write, “When she came out after me and called me a  “bitch”…I was like really!?! You’re going to go there now and act this way in front of all these people?” 

We later see Tamra confess to her boyfriend Eddie Judge that she doesn’t like how she behaved and that she grew up in a family that did not discuss their emotions so the only way she knows is to keep it all inside and then she explodes. “My lack of communication ultimately makes me look like a bitch” she says.
