Congratulations are in order for late night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel. RumorFix has learned that Kimmel is set to wed his show’s former head writer, Molly McNearney, after popping the question on vacation in South Africa.
“Thanks for your kind congratulations, my nuptials are impending as we speak. Say a prayer for @mollymcnearney – she has a rough road ahead,” Kimmel tweeted this week.
Kimmel and McNearney began dating in 2009, the same year the comedian and Sarah Silverman called it quits.
A Romanian man attempting to obtain Lady Gaga’s autograph learned a valuable lesson this week: don’t run towards a celebrity waving things when that celebrity rolls with heavy security.
One of Gaga’s bodyguards grabbed the overzealous fan by the head and slammed him to the ground after he ran towards the pop star inside the lobby of her Romanian hotel. The entire incident was caught on tape.
Gaga didn’t appear to be phased by the event, and the fanatic left the scene without any physical injuries. Unfortunately, a photographer trying to take pictures up Gaga’s dress wasn’t so lucky. The paparazzo’s camera was confiscated by Gaga’s security detail earlier this week. The photograph below show the unidentified man trying to shield his head while the bodyguard yanks his Canon camera away.
In June, porn queen Jenna Jameson admitted making one of “the most terrible mistakes of my life,” when she was arrested for DUI on May 25.
So on Thursday, her attorney entered a guilty plea for her as part of a plea bargain.
The 38-year-old mother of twins pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DUI in exchange for dropping a count of driving with a suspended license, the Orange County DA’s office confirms to RumorFix.
Her sentence? Three years probation and complete an alcohol education course and participate in a Mothers Against Drunk Driving program. She will also have to pay $1,400 in fines and fees.
When Jenna showed her regret in June, she also apologized and was focusing on the future. “I am focusing on being a mother to my twin boys and I appreciate all of my friends and family who have stood by me,” she said.
Because it’s a misdemeanor, Jenna was not in court.
Olympic gold medal stud Ryan Lochte is already diving into Hollywood — he’s doing a cameo on 90210 and he shot a segment on E!’s Fashion Police.
But, the 28-year-old single swimmer says he has his eyes on The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars. So RumorFix went to the only person in America who’s done both shows for advice.

“Dancing with the Stars is something that his mind is geared toward — you know — the intense training,” Jake says. The Bachelor hunk, who made it seven weeks on DWTS, adds, “Olympians do really well in DWTS and it’s a wonderful platform to launch a Hollywood career, so much more than The Bachelor.”
He points to Erin Andrews, who now is signing multimillion dollar contracts, and Nicole Scherzinger, who had a career surge after she won the Mirror Trophy.
Jake doesn’t think Ryan is having a hard time finding a girl to date (neither do we), so he doesn’t think The Bachelor is the right fit for him.

But if the Olympic hunk has his mind set on the reality dating show, Jake tells us, “He’ll get in a lot of hot tubs and he’s evidently comfortable with the water, so there’s always room for one more.”

Pinup turned-actress-turned-autism activist Jenny McCarthy has split with her NFL star boyfriend.
McCarthy and Chicago Bears linebacker’ Brian Urlacher began dating back in April, but on Thursday the six-time Playboy cover girl said the couple were no longer together.
McCarthy told RumorFix, “Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship. I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him. Go Bears!”
The 39-year-old McCarthy’s previous high profile relationship was with actor Jim Carrey, who she dated from 2005-2010.
Fans of 80s rocker Bryan Adams are going to be in “Heaven” as the singer-turned-photographer is about to release his first book of pictures.

Adams, known for such classic tunes as “Run to You” and “Summer of ’69,” has spent the better part of a decade working as a professional photographer. He’s worked with celebs from Lindsay Lohan, Amy Winehouse and Lana Del Rey, to classic rock icons like Sting, the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and the Who.
His photographs have appeared in British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Interview magazine among others.
Adams book — titled Exposed – will be released in September 2012. It will include a forward by Sir Elton John, who is also one of his photography subjects.
In the Twittersphere, that would be a resounding yes.
While the world’s fastest man took home two gold medals from the London 2012 Olympics, he lost to the reunited girl band on Twitter hits.

Twitter released results from the games and Usain Bolt averaged 80,000 tweets per minute during his 200 meter race and 74,000 during his 100 meter sprint. Bolt took the gold medal among most tweeted about athletes.
But it was Posh, Scary, Sporty, Baby and Ginger Spice who set the Twittersphere ablaze.
The Spice Girls reunion performance was the most tweeted event of the games, with 116,000 tweets per minute during their closing ceremony appearance.
Is Michael J. Fox returning full time to the small screen?
The star, well known for his stints on Family Ties and Spin City, hasn’t had a starring role in a sitcom since his battle with Parkinson’s Disease forced him to quit Spin City in 2000 when the symptoms of the disease became too apparent.
But reports Thursday say Fox will be returning to TV with a sitcom slated to air in fall of 2013. The show would be produced by Sony Pictures Television and rumors are abuzz that all four major networks are interested in bidding on the project.
RumorFix reached out to Fox’s reps but we’re yet to hear back from them.
Fox has appeared in TV guest-starring roles in the past several years, including Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Good Wife.
The actor told ABC News in an interview earlier this year that a new combination of drugs has helped control the tics and tremors associated with Parkinson’s, which has allowed him to take more acting jobs.
Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has tweeted a message of support for jailed Russian punk band, Pussy Riot.
Sir Paul is just the latest star to support the trio of Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Maria Alyokhina and Yekaterina Samutsevich as they await the verdict in their trial for performing an anti-Putin “punk prayer” in Moscow’s Christ the Savior Cathedral.
McCartney wrote on his Twitter:
“I would like you to know that I very much hope the Russian authorities would support the principle of free speech for all their citizens and not feel that they have to punish you for your protest.”
