True Brooks Ayers Picked OnThere's no denying that the ladies of The Real Housewives of Orange County have given Brooks Ayers more than a hard time this season, and now the reality star is admitting the reason he's been picked on is because he's and "easy target." "I don't fight like those ladies fight. They fight below the belt," Ayers told E! Online. "I was brought up a little differently, and that's sad for me on the outside, but what am I supposed to do? Do you fight, cuss with women? I don't do that. It's not gonna happen. I'm not gonna bring up that Simon [Barney] hates Tamra [Judge] and that she has issues with her 16-year-old daughter...I'm not gonna bring up Meghan[King Edmonds]' past relationship issues."

Brooks Ayers Picked On All Season Long: I'm An Easy Target

Drama surrounding Ayers began once cast members began questioning his cancer diagnosis. Brooks "had said in 2014 he was battling Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, an aggressive form of blood cancer, following an initial diagnosis from the year before," and many of his co-stars have accused Ayers of faking his illness. Besides his ex Vicki Gunvalson, the only Housewife in the entire franchise that seems to side with Brooks is Amber Marchese, who warned people in September to be careful about the accusations being thrown at Brooks faking cancer. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who is a cancer survivor herself, says it’s a “dangerous” accusation for someone to make. Marchese opened up to The Real Mr Housewife where she gave her two cents on the topic, “I don’t know enough about Brooks’s case if there is one. But I think when it comes to an illness, it’s very risky and dangerous to accuse someone that they’re lying. We should give him personal space either way and let him deal with any illness that he may have.” Amber continued, “I know what it feels like first hand to be told that I’m using it [cancer] as a card. It does not feel good because it’s a very real circumstance. If it’s not real, and he is using this as a way of getting attention or being in the papers, then shame on him. He needs to get other type of help, like mental health help. If it is true, I think people need to back off and pray that they never are sitting in that position and having cancer and dealing with something as detrimental as cancer.”
