True Rosie Perez Quits The ViewRosie Perez quits The View, RumorFix can confirm. In an email to the staff, Executive Producer Bill Wolff, announced the news that the actress will be saying farewell to the daytime talk show after less than a year of serving on the panel. “Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting,” Wolff’s email said. “Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive. And beyond being an enormously talented performer, Rosie is a dedicated advocate who has brought passion and insight to the panel every day. Rosie will always be a part of The View family, and we will welcome her back as a guest anytime to catch up. We’ll plan a proper send off for her in a few weeks, but in the meantime, please join me in thanking her for her great work on the show.” Perez's exit comes just five months after Rosie O’Donnell announced that she was exiting the panel. ABC said in a statement at the time, “Rosie is an immensely talented star who comes in each and every morning brimming with ideas, excitement and passion for the show. When she told us that she wanted to exit The View, we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first. We’re delighted she’s still part of the ABC family with upcoming guest appearances on The Fosters. And we know she’ll return to The View often with her unique point of view and updates on her work and her family.” Rosie’s personal rep Cindi Berger further explained to RumorFix the reason for the sudden departure, “Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November. Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. … She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave The View. Next week will be her last.” Whoopi Goldberg and Raven-Symoné, and  Nicolle Wallace stand as the remaining panelists on the show. It is unclear at this time who will replace Rosie Perez.
