True Trevor Noah Taking Over The Daily Show Jon Stewart stunned fans worldwide in February when he announced he was retiring from Comedy Central's The Daily Show after 17 years behind the desk. Now we know who is going to replace him. 31-year-old South African comedian and politico Trevor Noah has confirmed he'll be taking over the chair when Stewart is done. "No-one can replace Jon Stewart. But together with the amazing team at The Daily Show, we will continue to make this the best damn news show!" he revealed via Twitter.
