In an email sent in February to her Hollywood manager, Dolores Cantu, the 38-year-old wrote, "Wanted to share some really exciting news with you ... I'm having a baby girl end of July. I'm going on 4 months pregnant now. "Everything is going great! Miss and love you as always my mama Dee! Cristie." Dolores met Cristie in acting class 14 years ago and didn't like how agents were treating her so Dolores decided to become a manager and made Cristie her first client. Since then she's been "Mama Dee." Cristie moved to Hollywood at the age of 19. "She wanted to be an actress so badly," Dolores says. "When things weren't going well, I told her she should have a second occupation. "That's when she became a caterer. And while she didn't become a star on TV or the movies, she was a star in the world of catering." Cristie Schoen Codd Cristie always made healthy food and quickly became the go-to chef for films shot on location.  Her company, Tree Hugger Catering, is providing food on the set of The Big Short, starring Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale and Steve Carell. "Her business partner is going to continue the job because that's what Cristie would have wanted," Dolores says. The Mississippi native with the bubbly personality and always positive attitude became much sought after. Her company did the catering for 28 Days, Miss Congeniality, Big Love, A League of Their Own, Days of Thunder, Stepford Wives and at least 100 other TV shows, movies and commercials. She even catered her own wedding in October of last year. cristie-schoen-wedding "When she was on Food Network Star – she really wanted to be there because she felt she was on the cutting edge of health food," Dolores says. "She was always an advocate of healthy living." Although Cristie had moved to Ashville, North Carolina with her husband, Dolores still submitted her for Hollywood jobs. And just Friday, Dolores talked to Cristie's agent about a casting for a show pitting chefs vs. professional chefs. Dolores says Cristie moved to the South to be half way between her parents and her hubby's parents since she was building a family. And, the health fanatic picked a huge piece of land to live on, "because they were growers," Dolores says, "They wanted to supply that part of the country with organically grown fruits and vegetables." cristie-schoen Robert Jason Owens was charged Tuesday with the triple murder of Cristie, her husband, Joseph "JT" Codd, and their unborn daughter. Owens was a construction worker who had done work at Cristie's home. He also is accused of stealing a laptop computer, jewelry and a handgun. cristie-schoen-suspect
