Deadmau5 On Disney Trademark Dispute: ‘Lawyer Up, Mickey!’

True Deadmau5 Tells Disney To Lawyer UpDisney is fighting Deadmau5's trademark, claiming the DJs mouse headgear looks too similar to their Mickey Mouse ears. But the world famous DJ is standing his ground, telling the House of the Mouse they better "lawyer up." Disney filed documents Tuesday in attempt to block Mau5 from getting a trademark for the ears in the U.S. Deadmau5 has been wearing his mouse ears for over ten years and has a trademark for it in 30 different countries, and now Disney claims giving the DJ the trademark would damage their business worldwide. But the electronic artist is calling BS on Disney, taking to Twitter to slam the corporation, saying, "Disney thinks you might confuse an established electronic musician / performer with a cartoon mouse. That's how stupid they think you are." The 33-year-old, who is known for his outspoken personality, also wrote up this little ditty on his social media page:
Wishes upon star to become the thing i am today. becomes thing. gets stomped on. hahah wut? seems legit.
