Nick Carter Cries At Wedding, No Family Member In Attendance

spl728130_023Family is family -- whether it's the one you were born into or the one you choose to create. The latter came through for Nick Carter during his wedding to Lauren Kitt at the Bacara resort in Santa Barbara on Saturday.

RumorFix can exclusively reveal that not one of Nick's family members were in attendance during his big day. Sources close to the star tell us that none of them were actually invited, except for little brother Aaron Carter, who missed the ceremony because of a flight delay.

Carter insiders tell us, animosity lingers between Nick and the family for various reasons, but especially after he missed sister Angel's wedding in February since the Backstreet Boy member scheduled his bachelor party on the same day.

The Carter clan's absence didn't seem to bother Nick, because he had his singing brothers there -- all five of the Backstreet Boys witnessed the singer's nuptials. RumorFix was told exclusively by a wedding insider that Howie Dorough was the only boy band member who was selected to be one of his  five groomsmen, with his best man being longtime friend Shadwick. Lauren's maid of honor was, of course,  her sister and AJ McLean's wife was one of her bridesmaids.

Nick couldn't hold back the tears the minute he saw his bride-to-be walk down the aisle. Our insider tells us you could tell the tears streaming down his face were only tears of joy, knowing that he finally gets to make his own family who will love and cherish him, despite his flaws. And that's exactly what the 34-year-old said to Kitt in his vows, explaining to her how appreciative he is to have such a wonderful woman who supports his growth.

With that aside, the wedding was perfect. Following the ceremony,  guests enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres, which included mini crab cakes, tortilla soup, spring rolls, and duck. After chowing down on apps, the group headed into the dining area where friends and family enjoyed a meal of braised pork, steak, and lobster before cutting into the beautiful white five tier wedding cake dressed with purple and white flowers. During the feast, each Backstreet Boy member took the mic to congratulate the couple on their nuptials, all of them shedding a tear. And what's a Backstreet Boy wedding without some serious dance-off's?! After filling their bellies, the group headed to the dance floor for hours of dancing -- where we're told Kevin Richardson absolutely stole the show with his moves and grooves.

We're happy for Nick and his new family!

Nick skipped his sister’s wedding because of a fake bachelor party that only happened in order to be in the reality show. What did he expect?

Tears of joy…yeah right. More like tears of remorse. Miserable loser. Look ay his gloomy face.

    3. Marie says:

Actually when Nick’s sister Leslie died, Nick himself said that his family blamed it on him. The poor thing seems to have won the jackpot: weird siblings and weirder parents whom he provided from a very tender age and who only seem to care about his money.
I don’t feel his wife though, but thank God he has his bandmates, the only ones who have stood to be his true brothers and family for all these years.

Finally an article worth reading about the wedding! Thank you RumorFix- its almost like you guys did some research on your own, unlike the other sites posting “articles” Congrats Nick- Never mind what people say 😉 The Backstreet Army is happy as long as you are happy!

why are you people trying to create drama where there isn’t?!?!? Nick wasn’t crying cuz his family wasn’t there! and Aaron was going to be there but his plane didn’t make it on time due to mechanical problems, he even tweeted and instagrammed about it constantly cuz he didn’t want to be late.

We had all of that in the story

        • Patty says:

then why continue with the continuous bashing, like you said, it’s part of the story so why is everyone being so hard on him for no reason?

      • Denisa Mcintyre says:

i read that his sister Angel said that there was no bad blood between them and that she gave Nick her blessing and vice versa, the media likes to twist things and Angel and Nick have always had a good relationship.

    6. Giliana says:

If he’d wanted family members in attendance, he ought to have invited them, rather than to have wept over their not being there, when not invited! What is difficult to understand about this? Obviously he hasn’t a close relationship with his family.
