After losing an amazing 80 pounds and promoting Weight Watchers for the past four years, Jennifer Hudson is ending her partnership with the diet and lifestyle company.
The Oscar winner has been a spokeswoman for the company since 2010 when she famously shed her baby weight — and more — and has not only kept off the weight but looks better than ever.
“Sometimes you have to step back and let your work speak for you, and when that doesn’t work you walk away knowing you did your best” Hudson announced on her Twitter account Friday.
“It’s been fun and a pleasure good luck to you all. @WeightWatchers.”
So far the company hasn’t commented on Hudson’s departure. But hey, they’ve got Jessica Simpson now.
UPDATE: Several hours after posting the announcement, Hudson deleted her posts, but she later released this statement to RumorFix:
“My experience with Weight Watchers has truly been life changing. I am grateful for what I have learned throughout the process and will always take it with me. I have chosen to step away from my role as ambassador and I am excited for the year to come, with many new projects and lots of new music.”
