Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizzeria Take Home the Big Bucks From the Oscars

Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria went home as the real Oscar winner last night. After speculation that the pizza party was a paid publicity stunt to advertise the Los Angeles local pizza spot, RumorFix reports that this is not the case. In fact, Big Mama's & Papa's actually got paid for the pizza!

Variety reports that advertising on the show costs at least $1.8 million. The press of this pizza stunt is estimated to be worth at least $10.8 million . Big Mama's and Papa's actually walked away from this business arrangement in the positive margin at $75 for the three boxes of pizza.

The delivery boy was actually the owner of the pizza joint, Edgar Martirosoyan. He tells Inside Edition he had no idea he was delivering pizza to the Oscars.

Edgar says Julia Roberts “ was one of my most favorite actresses and when I handed her pizza … that was something else!”

Ellen has used the local pizza joint for her show in the past.

Way to keep local pizzerias going Ellen!

I was just reading that the “delivery boy” was, Edgar Martirosyan, the owner of ‘Big Mama’s & Papa’…. not that there’s anything wrong with that.
