Hollywood is starting to take sides in the growing Woody Allen sex scandal.
The story exploded after Mia Farrow’s daughter Dylan Farrow wrote an open letter to The New York Times renewing allegations that the famous director (her former adoptive father) had sexually abused her as a child.
And Farrow, 28, called out stars like Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin for defending the Blue Jasmine director.
But the pair seem to be on Team Woody as this point.
Cate told one Hollywood blogger: “I hope that they (the Farrow family) can find some sort of resolution and peace.”
While Baldwin told his followers on Twitter that Dylan’s allegations where “this family’s personal struggle” while he would not be baited into speaking-out on the issue.
But younger stars like Lena Dunham are backing her publicly.
The Girls star tweeted: “To share in this way is courageous, powerful and generous.”
While The Last Ship actor Adam Baldwin went even further by saying: “Woody Allen being #ShortEyes sexual predator shouldn’t surprise anyone.”
A rep for Allen said: “Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful. He will be responding very soon. At the time, a thorough investigation was conducted by court appointed independent experts. The experts concluded there was no credible evidence of molestation; that Dylan Farrow had an inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality; and that Dylan Farrow had likely been coached by her mother Mia Farrow. No charges were ever filed.”
