Say it ain’t so!
New reports allege that sweet little Selena Gomez went to rehab in January.
Gomez cancelled the Australian leg of her tour in December claiming that she simply needed a break. But according to RadarOnline, the real reason behind her cancellation was because she was checking into Dawn at The Meadows rehab facility in Arizona “for an emergency two-week stay because she had been partying very hard.”
Selena’s friends and family members were “growing increasingly worried that there might be a serious problem” after the singer allegedly became dependent on marijuana and prescription pills, according to the site.
“It’s important to remember that Selena had worked in Hollywood non-stop for six years. She was exhausted. Selena was smart enough to understand that she needed to take control of her life,” a source snitches to the website, adding, “It just got to a point where she needed to get out of Los Angeles, get away from ‘the scene’ and the pressures of Hollywood, to also get away from those who had, admittedly, become a bad influence on her.”
“Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse,” a rep told People and E!
RumorFix has calls out to Selena’s rep for confirmation.
