Mark McGrath knows he’s about to be part of movie history … because he’s starring in the guaranteed mega classic — even though it’s still being filmed — Sharknado 2.
The Killer Karaoke host stopped by The Wendy Williams Show on Thursday and said he’s been getting tons of calls from friends congratulating him on landing a coveted role in the Syfy sequel to last summer’s hit Sharknado. He said, “People are tripping on this movie!”
The father of two admitted the movie is being made “strictly for fun” but warned the audience that the tornado of killer sharks “is coming to New York so you better stay inside people.” The TV movie is currently filming in NYC where the 45-year-old was spotted shooting scenes Wednesday.
He’s part of a cast that includes Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick, Vivica A. Fox, Judd Hirsch and of course returning headliners Ian Ziering and Tara Reid.
And he’s hoping his character doesn’t get killed off by the weather driven sharks because “I’ve got to make it to the third movie, I’ve got to feed my kids!”
