While George Lopez may currently be suffering the world’s worst hangover, the comedian’s public intoxication incident Thursday night made a young man’s birthday one to remember.
Police were called to Caesar’s Windsor Casino in Ontario, Canada after a complaint was filed that a drunken Lopez was passed out on the venue’s floor, and birthday boy/onlooker Chad Maura had the pleasure of experiencing the star’s drunken stupor.
Maura tells RumorFix exclusively that when he first spotted the funnyman, he was “surrounded by his body guards” and “I saw him make his way to the floor. He laid there unconscious and passed out.” Chad tells us that George was completely silent not saying a word, and while he still “looked like George Lopez,” he was obviously looking ‘drunk as hell.”
However, the fun didn’t last long, “We were quickly shooed away by security,” Maura says.
The young Canadian man was at the casino for his 20th birthday, and tells RumorFix that it was the perfect way to end the celebrations. “It was short and sweet,” Maura dishes, “but adding to my $225 winnings, I saw a star catching some z’s on the casino floor. It was a perfect end to a perfect night.”
And although he doesn’t know for sure, Chad says the talk around the slots was that the actor was actually taken to the hospital.
On Friday afternoon, Lopez released the following statement to RumorFix: “Tied one on last night. Not feeling great this morning. I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor.”
