The Voice’s Cee Lo Green dropped a bombshell during a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that will air on Wednesday.
RumorFix has learned that the singer/mentor is leaving the talent competition for good.
“I don’t want to wear out my welcome there,” he told Ellen. “You know what I’m saying. I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven’t released an album in four years.”
Among other things the “Forget You” singer is going on a “All The Hits All Night Long Tour” with Lionel Richie. (For those of you under 30, he’s Nicole Richie’s father)
Cee Lo adds, “I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year. But yeah, I’m going to miss The Voice too.”
We’re going to miss you too Cee Lo.
