The changes continue at Dancing with the Stars.

RumorFix has learned exclusively that Brooke Burke-Charvet, who has co-hosted the show for seven years with Tom Bergeron, will not be returning this season.

On November 25, 2008, Brooke, herself, and partner  Derek Hough won the competition during Season Seven.

UPDATE: Late Friday, Brooke released this statement: “I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture. I’ve always been one to embrace change and looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn’t able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake.”

This change comes right after the show replaced Harold Wheeler Orchestra after 17 years with a smaller hipper band led by Ray Chew.

Thank God. Her interview skills lack in so many ways. I give her an F on job performance

About time! Brooke was an annoying co-host.

debra, you and nancy below you are just a couple of dumb c**ts !

        • D. Kumle

I do not know who you are, but how dare you call me and Nancy that word. It seems to me that you are uneducated, and are lacking in vocabulary skills. From your picture I cannot tell what you are, but I can tell you that you are a crude and vile individual.

Jim – Let me guess? Oh yea, all in the name of $$$$$$$$$!! If anyone replaces Brooke, then I’m sure it’ll be some young gorgeous idiot!! As far as the orchestra goes, it’ll be the same story. Being replaced by a know-nothing band (not orchestra) is a disgrace BUT oh so much cheaper!!!!! Now all we need is more (who?) contestants ad make them between the ages of 16-30 of which there are many, AGAIN $$$$$$$$!!!

No one should fault the producers of DWTS by booting out Brooke; it’s all about the business WHILE AT 42 YEARS OLD SHE IS CONSIDERED A SENIOR CITIZEN IN HOLLYWOOD. They do it every time in the entertainment business; they boot a woman in her ripe years of maturity, like a 42 yr old and replace her with someone in her 20′s up against a man who is wrinkled, gray haired and about a 100 yrs old like Tom Bergeron. I’M NOT WATCHING THE SHOW ANYMORE and I’m asking all women in their 40′s like me to do the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

      • Mary

Good luck with that. She was awful, plain and simple. I am a woman in my 40′s and I plan to continue watching DWTS, especially now that Brooke is gone.

Erin Andrews is 35. Do some research before you go spouting your bullshit.

I enjoyed Brooke, she was down to earth and looked beautiful in her gowns.

So they’re pretty much going the route of all new changes like American Idol, X factor and the others. I liked Brooke okay except for that weird thing she did with her lips which was a constant pouting motion. But to get rid of Harold Wheeler Orchestra? I thought they were darn good and Tom was always hawking them on the show. Anyway I don’t watch this show anymore as half the time I don’t know any of the stars.
