He was considered an actor’s actor — and Thursday night some of Hollywood’s biggest stars attended a wake at the Frank E. Campbell funeral home in Manhattan for Philip Seymour Hoffman, RumorFix has all the details.
Oscar-nominated actress Amy Adams, who co-starred with Hoffman in The Master and Doubt, was joined by her fiance Darren Le Gallo at the private service.
Justin Theroux, who worked with Hoffman in the 2005 comedy Strangers With Candy, visited Hoffman’s longtime partner Mimi O’Donnell three times in the last three days. He too attended the solemn ceremony.
Joaquin Phoenix, who co-starred with Hoffman in The Master where they both garnered Oscar nominations, wore sunglasses to conceal his emotions.
Hoffman’s three children: Tallulah, Wilma and Cooper came out of seclusion to pay respects to their dad.
Willa,5, had to be carried by mom at one point as they both appeared distraught.
In the meantime, fans continue to place flowers and messages at the entrance to the apartment building where Hoffman took his last breath.
