Former Bachelorette-turned-entertainment reporter Ali Fedotowsky has a heart of gold. And she proved that by bringing home two stray pups from the streets of Sochi.
The 29-year-old had been covering the Olympics last week for E! News and being the dog lover that she is, couldn’t help but give a couple of the dogs a brighter lifeover here in the states.
Ali and the pups were greeted at LAX on Saturday by fellow friend of animals, actress Katherine Heigl, whose Jason Debus Heigl Foundation helps rescue dogs and find them new homes. This was the first international “rescue” that the charity had been involved in.
The pups — Sochi and Adler — will undergo a two to four week quarantine period and are currently under the care of veterinarians. Unfortunately the male pup, Sochi, has been diagnosed with Parvo, a canine virus that can be fatal especially for puppies. Heigl tweeted, “We are doing everything we can to save him” and asked for the prayers of fellow animal lovers.
