The Grammys did their traditional “In Memoriam” segment Sunday night, remembering those in the music industry who passed away in 2013. And Glee‘s Cory Monteith was, of course, among them.
But whoever’s job it was to make sure his name was spelled correctly for the globally televised show overlooked the fact that his name was misspelled.
The “i” and the “e” were inverted to spell his name “Montieth”
Ouch! Doesn’t this kind of thing go past multiple sets of eyes before it hits the worldwide stage?
Monteith died in July following an accidental heroin and alcohol overdose in a Vancouver hotel.
