Earlier this week word hit the web that Justin Bieber’s latest gal pal, Chantel Jeffries, had hired an attorney to try and sell her story for $20,000.
Page Six claims “Chantel was talking to all the networks. A rep for Bieber’s drag-racing babe had reached out to the weekly magazines and to producers of shows including GMA, Today and Inside Edition to talk about her night with the teen star, which ended in his DUI arrest and infamous glassy-eyed mug shot.”
Sources tell the newspaper, “She hired an attorney and was negotiating a deal with the weekly magazines and the big TV shows. She wanted $20,000 plus a guaranteed mention of her modeling career.”
But RumorFix has learned that, rather than Chantel reaching out to media outlets, the media outlet’s were reaching out to her.
The aspiring model defended herself in a recent Twitter statement from her “agency,” which reads, “Chantel’s attorney and I (Chantel’s spokesperson) received multiple appearance requests for Chantel, as you can imagine. None were for compensation, especially not $20,000. None were accepted. The Today Show was the only one that was being considered, and they do not pay for their news. As I said, no appearance requests were ever accepted.”
