The Simpsons Pays Tribute To The Late Marcia Wallace

simpsonOne thing that always changes in The Simpsons opening credits is what Bart writes on his schoolroom's chalkboard.

And on Sunday night's episode, it was a tribute to the late Marcia Wallace, who voiced the role of Bart's schoolteacher Edna Krabbapel.  Marcia passed away last month at age 70 due to complications from pneumonia.

Bart wrote "we'll really miss you Mrs. K" on the chalkboard in tribute to Wallace and her character.

While Wallace may have passed away, her character on the beloved Fox show will live on as she voiced enough episodes to last well into the next year.
