New Dad Alec Baldwin Grabs Food To GoAlec Baldwin's late night show has only been on air for a month, but MSNBC has already suspended the star following his recent use of gay slurs.

The actor, who is known for having a very short temper, has been asked to step down from his Up Late hosting gig for two weeks.

Following MSNBC's announcement, Baldwin released a statement, saying, "I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have -- and for that I am deeply sorry," Alec said, adding, "Words are important. I understand that and will choose mine with great care going forward. What I said and did this week, as I was trying to protect my family, was offensive and unacceptable. Behavior like this undermines hard-fought rights that I vigorously support. I understand Up Late will be taken off the schedule for tonight and next week."

Baldwin got in hot water Thursday for allegedly using an anti-gay slur against a member of the paparazzi, after chasing another pap down the street and yelling at him. That incident made national headlines and caused the 55-year-old actor to claim he was misunderstood and was anything but homophobic after being called out for continuing to use anti-gay slurs from everyone from Anderson Cooper to GLAAD.
