Does being famous for being famous warrant being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
Because Kim Kardashian – famous for playing herself on her “reality” show Keeping Up With The Kardashians – has made it known she’d like a star on the legendary boulevard.
Last year she told V magazine “I think there was a quote where somebody said that reality stars will never get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. So, of course I’m so competitive that I think that it would be a huge achievement and a goal that anyone would want. I would love to break that mold.”
But the folks at the Walk of Fame immediately shot down her dream, saying that reality show stars aren’t actors and thus don’t deserve the honor of a star.
But Kim’s boyfriend and baby daddy Kanye West is still keeping her dream alive, saying “there’s no way that Kim Kardashian shouldn’t have a star on the Walk of Fame,” during an appearance Wednesday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
He started his rant with “I want to give a shout out to the stars at the Walk of Fame cause they said something about how they’re not going to put my girl on the walk of Fame cause she’s a reality star. It’s like people are so dated and not modern.”
What do you think? Does playing herself on a reality TV show make Kim Kardashian worthy of a star on the Walk of Fame?
