Leg irons and handcuffs aren’t the accessories you usually see on singer Chris Brown — but they were on him Monday afternoon.
The R&B singer was in Washington, D.C. court answering charges that he committed a “felony assault” on a man who wanted to be in a picture with Chris. His attorney, Danny Onorato, was successful in getting the charges reduced to simple assault misdemeanor.
But that doesn’t mean the 24-year-old, who spent 36 hours in jail, is out of trouble. He was ordered to report to his California probation officer within 48 hours and to stay at least 100 yards away from the man he is accused of assaulting early Sunday. Breezy was ordered to appear in court again on November 24.
“Christopher Brown committed no crime,” Onorato told reporters after the hearing. “We understand that his security acted to protect Mr. Brown and his property, as he is authorized to do under District of Columbia law. We are confident that Mr. Brown will be exonerated of any wrongdoing.”
As you may recall, Brown is on probation for the 2009 attack on his former girlfriend, Rihanna.
