A Los Angeles jury has rendered a verdict in the case of Michael Jackson’s family vs. AEG, RumorFix is reporting.
For Katherine Jackson to win — the jury had to answer five questions with a Yes.
Here are the results:
- Did AEG Live hire Conrad Murray? Yes
- Was Dr. Conrad Murray unfit or incompetent to perform the work he was hired? No.
Since the jury did not think Conrad Murray was unfit — the other two questions did not need to be answering — meaning AEG won the lawsuit.
The jury of six men and six women deliberated just under 14 hours. They heard 80 days of testimony.
Katherine Jackson and Michael’s three children claimed AEG negligently hired and supervised Dr. Conrad Murray and pushed Michael during his “This Is It” tour.
AEG is claimed they didn’t hire Murray that Michael did. The Jackson were asking for $1.5 billion.
Katherine was in the courtroom, but she showed no reaction when the verdict was read.
