Sometimes we all just need a heartwarming story.
This one is compliments of actress Minnie Driver.
The Oscar-nominated actress is singing at a benefit Thursday for a clown named Twinkles.
Twinkles, whose real name is Ellen Meyers, suffered a severe stroke last year and now is prevented from making kids smile and making ends meet.
Since the Yamashiro Famers Market in Los Angeles opened four years ago, Twinkles was a regular fixture charming children with puppet shows, balloon animals and face painting.
Like the thousands of others who came in contact with her, Minnie became an instant fan.
Minnie tweeted, “The benefit is for an amazing clown called Twinkles who has been very sick and needs a bit of help.”
The Will & Grace star will perform at the market from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. All proceeds will go to help put a smile back on Twinkles’ face.
