In an extremely candid interview with Oprah Winfrey, Lindsay Lohan admitted she is “an addict” and alcohol was “the gateway to other things for me.”
“I feel whole again,” she said on Oprah’s Next Chapter Sunday night, “and I have such a desire to want to keep this feeling and stay this way, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes.”
The 27-year-old, who just completed a court-ordered stay in rehab at the end of July, admitted to Oprah that she had done cocaine 10-15 times, because “It allowed me to drink more.”
When asked how she took the cocaine, she said, she snorted it. “I never injected anything other than getting B-12 shots,” she said.
The Canyons actress proudly proclaimed that she is no longer on Adderall, a prescription drug of ADHD. So what’s she taking these days? “Vitamins,” she said.
“You’re not on any prescription drugs?” Winfrey pressed.
“No, no,” Lohan insisted, then checked herself: “I take Nexium. Because I have acid reflux.”
The Mean Girls star also admitted that she was addicted to chaos — “It was a comfortable chaos to me,” she said.
When Oprah asked, “What does it feel like to be both an adjective and a verb for child-star gone wrong?” Lindsay said, “I hate that label. That’s not what I ever aspire to be.”
