Actress Kristen Johnston is in a social media war with a famed West Hollywood boutique over some jerseys with a controversial message.
A few days ago the former 3rd Rock from the Sun star shamed Robertson Boulevard boutique Kitson for selling football styled jerseys with numbers on the back and instead of player names above them, the names of various addictive prescription drugs – including Xanax, Vicodin and Adderall were noted on the back.
The 45-year-old recovering addict and anti-drug advocate tweeted “Hey @KitsonLA do you really think this sh*t is funny? Millions are dying, & u want to make $ off it. SHAME ON YOU”
And the trendy shop replied and actually defended the shirts! They responded with “Ms. Johnston do not threaten our customers. Please remove this threat or we will forward this to the authorities. Buy tee shirts, not drugs.” and “next time bully those directly responsible for the drug situation in America: Drug dealers. Not Kitson.”
Kristen since responded “I deleted it
@KitsonLA. Now please remove the clothing you sell that makes a joke of the drug epidemic.”
What do you think of the controversial shirts?
