Lynn Bynes, mother of Amanda Bynes, has been granted temporary conservatorship over her daughter, RumorFix has confirmed.
The conservatorship is granted until September 30, when there will be another court hearing. This will give Lynn control over Amanda’s property and finances estimated to be worth $3.57 million, but she can’t make any big deals without consulting with Amanda’s attorney first. “My clients are just interested in getting their daughter well,” Lynn and Rick Bynes’ attorney Tamar Arminak told reporters after the hearing.
Amanda was not present in court on Friday, because her psychiatric hold was extended in the hospital. Her public defender, Mary Shea, says the 27-year-old star opposed the conservatorship.
