Getting up for work at 2 a.m. would be hard for any normal human, but when you’ve been doing morning news for almost 40 years you’d think your body would be tuned enough to not oversleeping that alarm.
Well, Al Roker learned the hard way Tuesday when he overslept and missed his Wake Up With Al show that airs on the Weather Channel from 5:30-7 a.m., just before Al hits the Today Show.
Roker missed the WUWA appearance but did make it in time for his Today Show weather duties. He humbly tweeted “After 39 years, it happened. I overslept and missed a show. Missed WUWA. But will be on time for Today.”
He even posted a humorous vine of him still feeling sleepy on the set of Today. Don’t worry Al. That horrible wake up time would be hard for anyone … let alone for 39 years.
