Actress Jane Lynch made good on her scheduled appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno Wednesday night, being the first Glee cast member to publicly discuss the untimely passing of co-star Cory Monteith.
She told Jay he was a “bright light” with the “biggest heart” and recounted a story of Cory flying across the U.S. on his own dime to visit a sick fan whose one wish was to meet the 31-year-old heartthrob.
Monteith was found dead in a Vancouver, BC hotel room Saturday. He died from an overdose of heroin and alcohol.
Holding back tears the actress said “I don’t think he left one day unlived.”
