The sudden and unexpected death of Cory Monteith has Glee writers scrambling with what to do with his character Finn Hudson on the hit Fox show.
Glee starts production for it’s fifth season in two weeks – on July 29th. It’s been reported that the show already has three to four episodes already written and ready to shoot. But with 31-year-old Monteith’s sudden death, the plotlines have now been thrown into chaos.
At the end of last season, Glee’s “Lights Out” episode revealed what seems to be the first changes to Finn Hudson’s storyline on the show after it was revealed that Monteith was checking in to rehab and would not finish filming season four. His character was helping mentor the New Directions singing group while pursuing a teaching degree. He and Lea Michele’s character Rachel had broken up but he was still deeply in love with her.
The folks at the show’s production offices are back at work Monday after their summer hiatus. No word yet on how the show will deal with the devastating loss of one of it’s beloved actors but RumorFix will keep you informed with the latest details.
