Scream 4 actress Emma Roberts and her boyfriend, American Horror Story actor Evan Peters, are trying to get past an ugly domestic violence incident last week in Canada, RumorFix has learned.

The 22-year-old actress, who is Julia Roberts' niece, was arrested -- and quickly released -- July 7 in Montreal for an altercation with Evan leaving him with a bite mark and a bloody nose. The prosecution later dropped the charges.
"It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding," reps for both actors tell RumorFix in a joint statement. "Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it."
