Just when it looked like things couldn’t get much worse for embattled TV chef Paula Deen, word has come down that she’s just lost two more major retailers that carried her lucrative product line.
Sears Holdings, which controls retail giants Sears and Kmart, announced Friday that they’re severing ties with the 66-year-old country cooker following her racial slur scandal.
The company released a statement to RumorFix that “after careful consideration of all available information, we have made the decision to phase out all products tied to the [Paula Deen’s] brand.”
Target and Walmart on Thursday made similar announcements that they were dropping Deen’s kitchen product line. The now former Food Network star has also lost product endorsements from QVC, Smithfield Foods and pharmaceutical giant Noro Novisk.
Deen went on national TV to explain herself on Wednesday but her appearance apparently did nothing to sway companies who carried her products.
