Chris Brown, who was charged with hit-and-run on Tuesday, is using Twitter to fight his case.
The bad boy rapper, who is on probation for beating Rihanna in 2009, is at risk of violating his probation so he is waging a social media campaign professing his innocence.
Chris tweets, “It’s not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous.” He even changed his profile picture to show the car he hit in May saying, “NO damage. Just a dirty car.”
The “Don’t Think They Know” singer is also challenging the claim he didn’t have a valid driver’s license writing, “I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene.”
He believes he’s a victim of his own fame: “She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures.”
A spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorney tells RumorFix, “We received a police report and reviewed all the facts and prosecutors felt all charges are warranted.”
The 24-year-0ld adds, “I work my ass off to provide for my entire family. I’ve made mistakes in the past and have worked hard to be a better person.”
