Will the SIXTH trip to rehab be the charm for Lindsay Lohan? The troubled star checked in to the Betty Ford Center in Palm Springs overnight to complete a 90 day court ordered stint. And while some of her early trips to rehab were voluntary, her last few trips have been under court order.
The actress’ struggle with drugs and alcohol sent her to five rehab facilities for a total of 250 days in just the past six years of her life. Now the clock resets and if she completes her three month treatment program, she’ll have spent a total of 340 days in rehab. That’s nearly one year of her 26-year lifespan.
Lindsay’s first trip to rehab was voluntary when she entered the Wonderland Center in Los Angeles in January of 2007. She spent 30 days there. She entered Promises treatment facility in Malibu five months later for a 45 day stay following a DUI-related crash. Just weeks after getting out of Promises she got a second DUI charge following a car chase and enters rehab for a third time, this time at the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Sundance, Utah.
Lilo’s next trips to rehab occurred under court order in 2010. She entered the program at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in August of that year following a jail stint for violating her probation in her DUI cases. A month later she failed a drug test causing another probation violation. This time the court sent her to Better Ford treatment center in Palm Springs where she remained until January of 2010.
Fast forward to May of 2013 and now she’s on rehab stint number six. She’ll be spending the next three months at the Betty Ford Center under a court order following yet another probation violation.
Will her sixth trip to rehab finally be the one that helps turn Lilo around? If history tells us anything, when the court system sends Lindsay to treatment, Lindsay doesn’t stay out of trouble afterward.
