Former California First Lady Maria Shriver is returning to NBC News.
The network announced Tuesday that she will be joining their news team as a special anchor working on the topic of women’s issues and the changing roles of women in American life.
Shriver herself also tweeted out to her over two million followers, “I’m excited to be going forward with NBC News as a special anchor.”
The journalist will be returning to the network she started working for way back in 1986. She left NBC in 2004 when her now estranged husband Arnold Schwarzenegger successfully ran for governor of California.
The mother of four will be based out of Los Angeles.
