If there was ever someone you’d want on your flight during an emergency landing — it would have to be Astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
The Dancing with the Stars alum, who was the second man to walk on the moon in 1967, was on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Dallas on Wednesday when it had to make an emergency landing.
“Emergency landing at Ft.Myers today,” the calm 83-year-old tweeted. “Making the best of a change in circumstances by joining my group & daughter Jan in Cancún then Cozumel.”
According to reports, the pilot made the emergency landing because of an electrical smell in the cabin. The plane landed safely and there were no injuries.
