Courtney Stodden shocked the world when she married a man twice her age, but since then she’s said and done some pretty bizarre things to keep the attention on her.

Courtney married actor Doug Hutchison, who was 51 when when she was only 16. She’s 18 now and she is comparing herself to beloved icon Marilyn Monroe.

The teen bride tells RumorFix, “I look back to the pin-up days — Jayne Mansfield, Brigitte Bardot, Marilyn Monroe, and those beautiful iconic women. And  feel like I am [iconic]. I feel like I’m different, I married young. Those women were old souls, and I feel like I can connect with them. We are both old souls and we’re having fun, and being glamorous and flirty.”

      This “old soul” statement, it is becoming trite and contrived. It does not even make any sense. How were Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield and Bridgette Bardot “old souls”? And how does Courtney even qualify? Marrying @ 16 does not make you an old soul, and it certainly does not make you an icon! This girl is living in such a world of denial and delusion.

        Rational, that is so true! I don’t recall reading about them claiming to be beautiful, talented, etc. True celebrities don’t have to brag. If you got it, you don’t have to talk it. If anything, many of them downplay it. (hint Courtney- that is called modesty and being humble).

      well there is a slight difference between Courtney and the true Hollywood icons and that is, there were gorgeous and memorable and Courtney is a fool that has to work very hard to ensure someone takes her pics.
