What a week it’s been for the ladies of The View.
First, Barbara Walters made her return following a case of the chicken pox. Then, Joy Behar’s surprise announcement that she is moving on from the show. Next, word leaked out that Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s contract is not being renewed (RumorFix has yet to independently confirm). And now, a stunning report from the New York Daily News that the woman who started it all, may be stepping down!
On Monday, the Daily News reported that the show’s executive producer, Barbara Walters, is considering leaving the show she created.
Sources within ABC tell RumorFix that, “A lot of things are still being figured out.”
In recent years, Walters herself has made no secret that retirement is on the horizon. But, can The View survive such a dramatic shift? Our sources say that, “Timing will be key,” in the execution of any upcoming changes.
It should be noted that talk of Barbara’s retirement has come up time and time again. So, until we hear an official announcement, Barbara Walters’ departure from The View is STILL A RUMOR.
