Wendy Williams Blasts Lisa Lampanelli – ‘You’re too comfortable with my people!’

An enraged Wendy Williams used her talk show on Wednesday to publicly tear into comedian Lisa Lampanelli over a controversial tweet.

Over the weekend, while at an event in New York City, Lampanelli tweeted a picture of herself and HBO Girls star Lena Dunham.  In the caption, Lisa wrote:

Me with my nigga @LenaDunham of @HBOGirls – I love this beyotch!!

Lisa’s use of the N-word struck a chord with a disgusted Williams who lashed out saying to Lisa:

“You have gone too far! I know that you have had an eye for black men, I know that you have made black people laugh for years Lisa Lampnelli, but you have taken your comfort with my people a little too far… You have crossed the line. You are not allowed to use that word!”

OUCH!

      Wendy is absolutely right!!! And you all know goodness well when she refers to “our people” she is talking about her community, African Americans!!! White privilege has this chic Lisa thinking its cool or acceptable for her to use that word!! WRONG, WRONG, WRONG and when an African American takes issues she’s told to “get over herself” PLEASE!!! Wendy had every right to be upset and PLEASE BELIEVE she was not the only person to go in and let have on Lisa L.!!!

      Nice way to keep racism going by referring to blacks as her people. I think Lisa is a disgusting person but I feel she was just as entitled to use that word as anyone else. It was used in a friendly context. Artist, kids and just people in general use it all the time, people of all races. I’m offended that Wendy felt she was entitled to claim the word for HER people. I am sick of this double standard.
