RumorFix has confirmed country star Mindy McCready is dead at the age of 37.
The troubled singer lived a life of pain and torment.
The cause of death is an apparent suicide. She was found on her front porch — the same place her boyfriend was found about a month ago.
Mindy’s life reads like a country song. Her career started in 1996 with the multi-platinum release of Ten Thousand Angels.
But in recent years, she’s been known more for her troubles. She was arrested multiple times, had custody issues and was an admitted drug addict.
She even appeared on Celebrity Rehab in 2009 and kept in touch with Dr. Drew Pinsky for her aftercare.
But right before Christmas things were finally looking up for the woman who grew up in Fort Myers, Florida. She was madly in love with singer-songwriter David Wilson and she finally won a custody battle to get her two sons, Zander and Zayne, back.
Then last month, things started to fall apart again, Zayne’s father died of a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A few weeks later, a judge ordered McCready to be committed to a treatment facility and her sons were placed in foster care.
Now 10-month-old Zayne has lost both of his parents.
Zander’s dad is Billy McKnight, who is Mindy’s ex-boyfriend. The children are currently in a foster home.
