Over the weekend, reports have surfaced that Lady Gaga is now confined to a wheelchair.

RumorFix can independently confirm that Gaga has been spotted at a Starbucks coffee shop along Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.  The manager of the store tells us that the singer was wheeled into the shop late Friday evening, by a bodyguard who proceeded to order her a grande latte.

Photos of the sighting were also tweeted out by several fans who were in the Starbucks at around the same time.

The next day, Lady Gaga tweeted a picture of a wheelchair with the caption, “This is Emma.”

Last week, Gaga announced that the remainder of her tour has been canceled due to a labral tear in her hip which will require surgery. Doctors, who have not treated Gaga, tell RumorFix that the need for a wheelchair is entirely consistent with this type of injury.  In fact, Gaga will likely remain confined to a wheelchair during the recovery phase of her operation as well.
