RumorFix has learned that Honey Boo Boo’s dad, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson has pancreatitis, which is the inflammation of the pancreas.

June Thompson, Mike’s wife and Honey Boo Boo’s mom, says she took Sugar Bear to the hospital on Monday because he was “having chest pains like gas pains,” but they later found out that the 41-year-old had a severe case of pancreatitis.

Since Mike already has type 2 diabetes, doctors were worried and put him in ICU. But June says on Facebook, “The first night he is out of ICU, but he has a long road ahead of him we have let his pancreas rest and his body rest.”

June says the family is staying close to the hospital during this medial emergency and is sending “thanks for all your thoughts ahead of time.”
