Host Chris Harrison has been dropping hints that the California sweetheart is in the running to become the next Bachelorette. He told TV Guide, “Des is a big front-runner [for The Bachelorette]. She’s the beautiful girl-next-door that you want to wish well.”

And now Desiree is confirming that she would take the gig. During a conference call with RumorFix, Des reveals, “[If asked to be the next Bachelorette], I would say yes to the opportunity. The experience was very emotionally draining. If I were offered I would have to give it a lot of thought and make sure I’m prepared for the emotional roller coaster. But I do believe in the experience.”
