Cissy Houston Slams Clive Davis Grammy Party Invite

Cissy Houston is slamming Clive Davis’ decision to invite her to his annual pre-Grammy party … the same one her daughter Whitney Houston was scheduled to attend hours before passing away last year.

“I got an invitation to [Clive Davis' pre-Grammy] party, which is the most obscene thing,” Cissy explained at an unveiling of four wax figures made in her daughter’s likeness at Madame Tussaud’s. “I don’t know why they would want me to come to the party in which she died, you know? Unheard of … I guess maybe he just sent me a copy for remembrance sake”

Whitney passed away inside the Beverly Hilton on February 11, 2012 after suffering heart failure brought on by drug use. It’s the same hotel the annual star-studded party is held in.
