Reggae singer Shaggy is alive and well despite rumors to the contrary. This week on Twitter, someone claimed that the “It Wasn’t Me” singer was stabbed to death during a brawl outside a LA nightclub.

A rep for Shaggy set the record straight on the rumor, saying in a statement:

“The rumors are exactly what it is a rumor. We were made aware of the rumor yesterday but we didn’t know it was so serious. Someone just have a little too much time on their hands.”

Shaggy is just one of dozens of celebrities to fall victim on an online death hoax, and this isn’t even his first time. The singer also died last year in a car accident along with David Guetta, Usher and several other celebs.
