The New Normal’s Andrew Rannells, who also stars in HBO’s Girls, shot his first love scene — naked, RumorFix has learned.

The actor, who plays gay characters on both hit shows, told E!, “I got to do my first nude and sex scene this season. I’m a little nervous.”

Andrew plays Elijah, who is Hannah’s (Lena Dunham) former boyfriend and current roommates, hooks ups with someone — and it’s a girl!

The actor, who gained famed in Broadway’s Book of Mormon, says he will only be in four episodes in season two, which premieres Sunday night at 9 p.m. on HBO.  “I’m the luckiest guy in the world that I had this opportunity to do both of these shows, and it does come down to a scheduling thing and a timing thing,” Andrew told the Huffington Post.
