Disney star Miley Cyrus is clarifying her marital status after referring to her fiance Liam Hemsworth as her “hubby” in the new issue of Cosmopolitan.
During an interview with the magazine, the 20-year-old actress discusses her partner’s good looks, which leads to this little anecdote. “I took a photo [Liam] and made it the background on my phone. My best friend grabbed my phone and was like, ‘Who’s that? He is so hot!’ That’s my hubby!’” she explains.
Miley then goes on to reveal how happy she is to not be participating in the dating scene, referring to herself as “married.”
“All my friends are guys, so I hear the s**t guys say about dating. One guy called me and said, ‘Miley, I don’t know what to do — this girl won’t leave my house. It’s 6:00 and I have a blind date at 6:30.’ And I was like, ‘I’m so happy I’m married, because you guys are cruel!’”
The “hubby” and “married” comments led some bloggers to believe Miley and Liam got hitched in secret, but Miley has taken to Twitter to set the record straight.
“Haha! Already confirmed I AIN’T MARRIED! Just engaged to a sweeeetie pie .”
