One of Beyonce’s Destiny Child band members is coming to her defense in Lip-Sync Gate.

Michelle Williams tells Entertainment Tonight, “I will say this, it’s not the first or the last time that someone has had to lip-sync,” in regards to Beyonce using a pre-recorded track while singing the national anthem at President Obama’s inauguration.

Michelle goes on to remind of us all that “my greatest singer of all time, Whitney Houston, it came to light that her anthem was in fact lip-synced.”

The singer says many performers prefer back-up tracks when appearing live. “With big crowds and echoes, you know when it’s a big historical moment, you don’t want any room for mistakes, so I can understand why it was done,” she says.

Destiny’s Child recently reunited to perform new music together. They’ve tracked their first song together since 2005, it’s called “Nuclear.”

Pathetic, now that she’s got the millions, she doesn’t feel the need to sing live? I thought that’s exactly how she’s made her money because she’s so good at it. She did NOT have to fake sing or fake facial expressions while pretending to sing. How stupid! Do what you get paid to do bittch! Get out there and work! Kelly and James sang, for real, because they CAN!
